From concept to tooling, Special Patterns meets and exceeds the industry requirements.

Here at Special Patterns we now have six CNC machining centres capable of machining a large array of materials up to X-3100, Y- 2100 and Z- 1000mm in size. In February 2007 we took delivery of our second 5-axis machine.

Powerful workstations are used to run Unigraphics NX5, Catia V5 and Machining Strategist software to perform all of our surfacing, design, drawing and cutterpath needs.

For verification inspection and reverse engineering we use Power Inspect combined with our Faro Arm.

For 3D files, we can read from

• Parasolid part files
• IGES files
• STEP files
• STL files

For 2D files, we can read from

• .dwg (AutoCAD)
• .dxf

Our CNC machining centres are directly linked with our network of computers to download a variety of cutterpaths produced in house including roughing, pocket milling, 2D/3D surface milling, 2D/3D profiling, drilling, tapping and scribing.
